Radiohead Possible for 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Jonathan David has led Tapstone Holdings, LLC in West Hollywood, California, as chief executive officer since 2013. In this role, he manages all Tapstone Holdings operations, from strategic planning to matters of human resources. Away from work, Jonathan David enjoys listening to an array of musicians, particularly rock bands like The Beatles and Radiohead.

As of 2017, British rock band Radiohead will become one of 15 notable artists eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Radiohead released the first of nine full length records, Pablo Honey, in 1992. The record sold well on the international stage and produced the band’s most recognizable single, Creep. The song reached No. 7 on the British charts and reached No. 2 as an alternative rock single in the United States.

The band went on to release The Bends and OK Computer in 1993 and 1995, respectively. Both albums helped cement Radiohead as one of the world’s most revered rock groups, selling tens of millions of copies around the globe. The first seven Radiohead studio albums achieved platinum certification in at least one country, while six peaked at No. 1 on the British album charts. Both Kid A in 2000 and In Rainbows in 2007 reached No. 1 on the US album charts.

Radiohead has enjoyed a number of successful singles as well. In addition to Creep, the band have had six top 10 singles in England and 11 top 40 alternative rock hits in the US. Radiohead may be looking to join or compete with several important rock acts for inclusion among the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class, such as Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine.
