Radiohead Possible for 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Jonathan David has led Tapstone Holdings, LLC in West Hollywood, California, as chief executive officer since 2013. In this role, he manages all Tapstone Holdings operations, from strategic planning to matters of human resources. Away from work, Jonathan David enjoys listening to an array of musicians, particularly rock bands like The Beatles and Radiohead.

As of 2017, British rock band Radiohead will become one of 15 notable artists eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Radiohead released the first of nine full length records, Pablo Honey, in 1992. The record sold well on the international stage and produced the band’s most recognizable single, Creep. The song reached No. 7 on the British charts and reached No. 2 as an alternative rock single in the United States.

The band went on to release The Bends and OK Computer in 1993 and 1995, respectively. Both albums helped cement Radiohead as one of the world’s most revered rock groups, selling tens of millions of copies around the globe. The first seven Radiohead studio albums achieved platinum certification in at least one country, while six peaked at No. 1 on the British album charts. Both Kid A in 2000 and In Rainbows in 2007 reached No. 1 on the US album charts.

Radiohead has enjoyed a number of successful singles as well. In addition to Creep, the band have had six top 10 singles in England and 11 top 40 alternative rock hits in the US. Radiohead may be looking to join or compete with several important rock acts for inclusion among the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class, such as Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine.

A Few of the World’s Most Remote Places

Jonathan David serves as the CEO of the media optimization and buying company Tapstone Holdings, LLC. When he’s not busy overseeing operations, technology, and business development at Tapstone Holdings, Jonathan “Jon” David enjoys visiting as many remote countries as possible. Although many countries in the world get their fair share of visitors, there are plenty of remote locations that are largely left unexplored. Below are just a few examples:

Tetepare – Surrounded by coral reefs and blanketed in a lush rainforest, Tetepare is the South Pacific’s largest uninhabited island. It was originally populated by the ancestors of villagers in the Solomon Islands, but they vacated the island approximately 200 years ago. An association was formed to maintain the island’s original state while still allowing tourists to visit.

Kerguelen Islands – Also known as the Desolation Islands, the Kerguelen Islands consist of large mountains and glaciers. They are found in the southern Indian Ocean and do not have any original inhabitants. Currently occupied by anywhere from 50 to 100 French scientists, the islands can only be reached four times a year by boat.

Socotra Island – Home to unique plants and animals that are found nowhere else in the world, Socotra Island is an archipelago off the coast of Yemen. Due to its often strange-looking plants, it has been given the nickname of alien island. The area is protected to preserve both its wildlife and native people.

Three Lesser-Known Bob Dylan Facts

Since 2013, Jonathan (Jon) David has served as the CEO of Tapstone Holdings, LLC. When he is not working, Jonathan David enjoys listening to Bob Dylan

Dylan has largely remained an enigma through his decades-spanning career. Here are three-lesser known facts about Dylan.

1. Hammond’s Folly - Bob Dylan was first signed to Columbia records after producer John H. Hammond heard Dylan playing harmonica on a record from Carolyn Hester. Though Hammond’s boss and Columbia’s vice president chided Dylan’s voice as being the worst thing he’d ever heard, Hammond signed Dylan anyway. After Dylan's first album was considered a commercial flop, the hire came to be known as "Hammond's Folly," though the producer’s faith eventually paid off. Hammond is also responsible for signing such legends as Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Leonard Cohen, and Billie Holiday.

2. Holden Caulfield - Though Dylan starred in the unsuccessful 1987 film Hearts of Fire, he almost got his first leading role decades earlier. An agent from MCA approached John H. Hammond in 1962, saying he thought Dylan would be perfect for the role of Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye, for which the studio owned the rights. The film, and consequently Dylan’s role in it, never came to fruition.

3. “House of the Rising Sun” - One of the songs on Dylan’s self-titled first album is the classic “House of the Rising Sun.” Dylan learned the particular arrangement he used for the song from Dave Van Ronk, another, often-overlooked, folk musician. However, Dylan didn’t ask Van Ronk’s permission to use that version until after he already did it. Van Ronk eventually had to stop playing the song, tired of people thinking he got it from Dylan. Dylan himself ended up doing the same thing when The Animals released their popular version of the song.

Volunteering for the House of Ruth Los Angeles

Jonathan “Jon” David is the CEO of Tapstone Holdings, LLC, where he has launched over 100 successful advertising campaigns since 2013. Aside from work, Jonathan David supports the efforts of the House of Ruth Los Angeles, a nonprofit organization whose aim is to assist families and individuals dealing with domestic violence.

One of the many ways to help the House of Ruth is to volunteer for the charity. Those who volunteer for the House of Ruth must first complete a state-mandated 40-hour training course on working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence. The training is crucial, as it helps volunteers complete their wide variety of tasks within the organization. Volunteers often answer calls for the group’s 24-hour hotline, accompany clients to court, assist in child care, help clients who need temporary restraining orders, and more.

If none of these roles sounds like a good fit, the organization offers a number of alternative ways to contribute. Aside from donating, other ways to help include sponsoring your own fundraising drive, holding a garage or bake sale to raise funds, or volunteering your professional expertise at the organization’s office or one of their board committees.

House of Ruth Offers Help to People Who are Homeless in Los Angeles

Jonathan David’s Tapstone Holdings focuses on creating effective marketing plans and media buys. As the CEO, Jonathan David operates Tapstone Holdings on a basis of mutual respect with his clients. Jon David’s charitable giving includes the House of Ruth in Los Angeles.

The House of Ruth’s vision statement promotes independence and stability for homeless women, including those in abusive relationships. It accomplishes this by finding temporary, transitional, and permanent housing for them and their children.

Many agencies address the problem of homelessness by providing two weeks of shelter with little follow-up. However, the House of Ruth offers an approach that is aimed to prevent families from needing to return to shelters.

The organization believes in providing a range of services that go beyond sheltering, such as supportive programs and an aftercare program. The agency addresses mental health issues, child care, crisis counseling, and life skills development. Most importantly, the House of Ruth establishes a peer atmosphere, in which people who have overcome homelessness share their hope and strength.

This process has proven to be successful. Fully 95% of the families served by the House of Ruth remain housed for the long term.

The Beatles Still Topping Billboard Music Charts after 50 Years

Jonathan David has served as the chief executive officer of Tapstone Holdings since 2013. In this position, he has launched more than 100 effective advertising campaigns. Beyond his work at Tapstone Holdings, Jonathan David is a big music fan who enjoys the new music, as well as classics like Radiohead and The Beatles.

An interesting fact about is that the Beatles released 20 songs that topped the Billboard charts between 1962 and 1970, an all-time record. All 20 of these singles were collected into one album for the first time in 1982, and simply titled 20 Greatest Hits. In 2000, another greatest-hits album featuring the Beatles’ 20 number one singles, as well as several additional popular Beatles’ tracks, was released under the title 1.

Since its initial release, 1 has gone on to sell more than 31 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling album in the UK since 1991, the fourth highest-selling album in the United States. 1 has been remastered and reissued on several occasions, most recently in the summer of 2015 as 1+. While 1 is considered a greatest-hits collection, it has sold more copies than any of the group's studio albums.

Remote Destinations around the World

A serial entrepreneur, Jonathan David has been creating and building businesses since the age of 18. Currently leading Tapstone Holdings, LLC, as CEO, he is responsible for developing the company’s overall strategy and overseeing its daily operations. When he’s not busy running Tapstone Holdings, Jonathan “Jon” David enjoys traveling to remote destinations.

Visiting remote destinations gives travelers a break from modern luxuries while exposing them to sights largely untouched by tourists. Here are a few of the world’s most intriguing remote locations:

- Sakhalin Island: Located off the eastern coast of Russia, Sakhalin Island is largely uninhabited. The island, which has only been open to visitors since 1990, is populated by the Nivkh people, who enjoy sharing their traditions and customs with visitors.

- Deception Island: For those travelers who can brave the cold air, Deception Island in Antarctica is an active volcano’s semi-submerged caldera. It has been a safe harbor for several years and features geothermally heated water, an old whaling station, and the continent’s largest cemetery.

- Urumqi: Although this city in China is served by several airlines, it is regarded as one of the more remote cities in the country. Urumqi rests more than 1,500 miles from the nearest coast and is a great spot for horseback riding, hiking, and enjoying the Alps-like views.

The Canadian Origins of Ice Hockey

Serial entrepreneur Jonathan David is the CEO and founder of Tapstone Holdings, LLC, in West Hollywood. As CEO, he develops the company’s overall strategy and business development. When he is not busy leading Tapstone Holdings, Jonathan “Jon” David enjoys playing ice hockey.

The true origin of ice hockey is often debated. Some parties say it originated from lacrosse, while others claim it came from the Micmac Indian sport called hurling.– However, it is generally agreed that modern ice hockey was created in Canada in the 1850s by British soldiers.

Written logs of the first ice hockey games exist, but none of the rules were written down until 1879 when students at McGill University decided to legitimize the game a bit. These rules differed slightly from the original form of the game. The new rules stated that a puck should be used instead of a ball. Additionally, these new rules declared that each hockey team should have nine players.

Within a year, Canada began to see a number of amateur ice hockey leagues and clubs spring up. The sport was introduced to the United States in 1893 and had spread to Europe by the turn of the century.

Over the years, ice hockey’s popularity grew rapidly. Ice hockey has the oldest sports trophy in North America and was added as an Olympic sport in 1920. Yet, despite the sport’s popularity and various equipment advances made over time, ice hockey’s rules have largely stayed the same with the exception of the decrease from nine players per team to six and the addition of netting to the goal.

My Career

There are a few things I'm quite proud of in my career. Having started 8 companies in my 14 years of doing business, I'm always looking for the next opportunity to challenge myself, and the people around me.

My most recent enterprise is Tapstone Holdings. I started this company in late 2013 as digital media platform designed to drive the greatest possible return for direct response advertisers. Tapstone specializes in native and advertorial media, and we really pride ourselves on our years of creative expertise and media optimization experience in the channel. As of early 2016 we have a main office in Santa Monica, and accounting office in West Hollywood, a wonderful staff who I enjoy working with everyday, and around 40 advertisers live on our platform.

Our plans our ambitious in 2016, and will continue to be so moving into the future!
