JVS Los Angeles Helps Individuals Launch Careers in Banking

Since 2013, Jonathan “Jon” David has served as CEO of Tapstone Holdings, LLC, an advertising company with offices in Santa Monica and West Hollywood, California. Alongside his pursuits at Tapstone Holdings, Jonathan David gives back to the community through his support of organizations such as Jewish Vocational Services (JVS) Los Angeles.

In its efforts to help individuals gain economic independence, JVS Los Angeles oversees a variety of career training programs and services. For those with an interest in the financial services industry, the organization offers BankWork$, an eight-week program that trains job seekers for careers in banking.

To be eligible for the program, prospective applicants must be 18 years old, speak and write English, and have a high school diploma or GED. Those accepted into the program learn about proper professional conduct and are trained in banking topics such as identity theft and cash handling. Many trainees who complete BankWork$ advance to careers with JVS’ partner banks, including Banc of California, US Bank, and Wells Fargo.

Since it was founded more than a decade ago, BankWork$ has helped hundreds of people launch careers in banking. For more information about the program, visit www.jvsla.org.
